Privacy Policy
1. Overview
Tiro Mobile Tyres ("Tiro", "we", "us") is committed to protecting your privacy in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs). This policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, and your rights.
2. Information we collect
We collect information you provide directly — your name, email address, mobile number, vehicle details, service address, and payment details — when you register an account, request a quote, or make a booking. We also collect information automatically, such as your approximate location (with your permission) to check service availability in your area, and standard technical information (browser type, IP address) needed to operate the Site securely.
3. How we use your information
We use your information to: process and fulfil bookings; process payments; send booking confirmations, reminders, and service updates by email and SMS; respond to enquiries and price-match claims; and improve our service. We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
4. Who we share information with
We share information with trusted service providers strictly as needed to deliver our service: our payment processor, to process your payment securely; our SMS provider, to send booking reminders; and, where you leave a review, Google's Business Profile platform. Each provider is only given the information it needs to perform its function, and is contractually required to protect it.
5. Data security
We store your information on secure, access-controlled systems and use industry-standard encryption for data in transit. Payment card details are handled directly by our PCI-compliant payment processor — we never store your full card number.
6. Cookies
We use essential cookies to keep you signed in, remember your service location, and keep your cart contents between visits. We do not use third-party advertising or tracking cookies.
7. Your rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information at any time by contacting us through our Contact page or through your account settings. We will respond within a reasonable period, in line with our obligations under the Australian Privacy Principles.
8. Data retention
We retain booking and order records for as long as required by Australian tax and consumer-law record-keeping obligations, and delete or de-identify personal information once it is no longer needed for these purposes or for an active account.
9. Complaints
If you believe we have breached the Australian Privacy Principles, please contact us through our Contact page in the first instance. If you're not satisfied with our response, you may lodge a complaint with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The current version will always be available on this page, with the "last updated" date shown above.
